Kwankwaso Calls for Urgent Action on Power Crisis

Kano, Nigeria – Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed deep concern over the ongoing power crisis affecting several northern states, primarily due to the recent vandalism of critical power infrastructure.
Kwankwaso highlighted the devastating impact of the power outages, particularly in the face of rising fuel costs. He emphasized that the situation has forced many businesses to shut down, leaving countless individuals without electricity for extended periods.
The former governor attributed the persistent power challenges to the country’s inadequate power infrastructure and the lack of proactive measures to address such crises. He urged state governments and private investors to explore alternative energy sources, such as solar and wind power, to mitigate the reliance on traditional power generation methods.
Kwankwaso pointed to Kano State’s initiative of installing turbines in the Challawa Gorge and Tiga Dams as a potential model for other states. He emphasized the need for innovative solutions to ensure a reliable and sustainable power supply for the nation.
