Ipokia LG Takes Over Owotedo-Idoologun Primary Health Centre, Inspects Solar-Powered Borehole

In a move to strengthen healthcare delivery and community welfare, Ipokia Local Government has officially taken charge of the Owotedo-Idoologun Primary Health Centre in Ajegunle Ward. The handover, facilitated by Hon. Tosin Olasukanmi Olateju, is aimed at improving medical services for residents. Additionally, the local government inspected a 25,000-litre solar-powered borehole in the community to ensure its functionality in providing clean water.
The handover ceremony was led by Hon. Tosin Olasukanmi Olateju, who presented the keys to the health centre to the Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh. The keys were subsequently handed over to the Supervisor for Health and Medical Services, Mr. Olushola Bankole, for operational management.
The event was attended by key officials, including the Vice Chairman, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), and the Focal Person for Ajegunle Primary Health Centre, who represented the Health Secretary. Community leaders, including the Baale of Owotedo, the Community Development Association (CDA) Chairman, youth representatives, and other stakeholders, were also present.
Discussions during the visit focused on making the health centre fully operational and identifying necessary resources to ensure seamless service delivery for the Owotedo-Idoologun community. The inspection of the solar-powered borehole highlighted its critical role in providing clean water, with the local government exploring measures to ensure its full functionality.
Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, the Executive Chairman, expressed gratitude to Hon. Tosin Olasukanmi Olateju for his dedication to the project. He reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to ensuring that both the health centre and borehole serve their intended purposes, in line with His Excellency Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun CON’s ISEYA Initiative and Building Our Future Together agenda.
