Gateway Air Announces New Flight Schedule, Adds Thursday Abuja Service
ABEOKUTA — Gateway Air has announced new flight routes and revised flight schedules as part of efforts to expand its operations and improve air connectivity for travellers using the Gateway International Airport.
The new routes and revised flight timings will take effect from Monday, August 17, 2026, according to a release made available to journalists by the Consultant to the Ogun State Governor on Aviation, Capt. Dapo Olumide.
Under the new arrangement, Gateway Air will introduce an additional Thursday flight between Gateway International Airport and Abuja, increasing its scheduled operations beyond its existing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday services.
The airline has also introduced a new early-morning weekday service from Abuja to Gateway International Airport via Lagos, departing Abuja at 6:00am and arriving Gateway at 8:20am.
The revised schedule also puts the weekday departure from Gateway International Airport to Abuja at 9:00am.
The new timetable for the Abuja–Lagos–Gateway–Abuja route is as follows:
– 6:00am: Depart Abuja — 7:15am: Arrive Lagos
– 7:55am: Depart Lagos — 8:20am: Arrive Gateway International Airport
– 9:00am: Depart Gateway — 10:15am: Arrive Abuja
– 4:00pm: Depart Abuja — 5:10pm: Arrive Gateway
– 5:50pm: Depart Gateway — 6:20pm: Arrive Lagos
The Lagos–Gateway International Airport–Lagos sector is also now open for bookings, with weekday services available from Monday to Friday.
Gateway Air currently operates a daily Lagos–Port Harcourt service, while the latest schedule is expected to provide passengers with additional travel options and improved connections between Ogun State, Lagos and Abuja.
The airline urged prospective passengers to take advantage of the new services and make their travel plans ahead of the commencement of the revised schedule on August 17.
