Ipokia LG Council Chairman,Avoseh Urges Residents to Participate in Immunisation Exercise Starting June 28

Ipokia – The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Avoseh Johnson Akohomeh (aka Cornerstone), has called on residents to take full advantage of the upcoming immunisation exercise scheduled to hold in the council area from Saturday, June 28, to Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
The Chairman made the call during an interactive session between medical experts and stakeholders on the Second Round of Year 2025 National Immunisation Plus Days (NIPDS) / Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Week in Ogun State. The meeting, held on **Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the council hall, was aimed at ensuring a successful immunisation campaign.
Hon. Avoseh reaffirmed his commitment to aligning with the health policies of His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun (CON), praising the Governor’s dedication to improving healthcare and overall development in Ogun State. He noted that other states are now adopting Ogun State’s model in various sectors.
The Council Chairman directed stakeholders to ensure widespread sensitisation of residents through:
– National Youth Council of Nigeria (Ipokia Chapter)
– National Council of Women Societies (Ipokia Chapter)
– Religious Leaders
– Community Development Associations (CDAs)
– Traditional Rulers
– Youth Leaders and Influential Personalities
He emphasised the use of telephone communication for broader outreach due to its effectiveness and also urged continuous public orientation on health matters.
Medical professionals at the event educated attendees on the immunisation programme, encouraging residents to visit nearby health centres for more details.
