Exclusive: Former Immigration Comptroller General, David Shikfu Parradang, Found Dead in Abuja Hotel

According to a detailed police report, the ex-immigration boss arrived at Joy House Hotel, located at Area 3 Junction, at approximately 12:00 pm on March 3. He checked into the hotel, paying N22,000 for a one-night stay. Shortly after settling in, Parradang reportedly instructed a hotel attendant to escort a female guest, who had come to visit him, to his room.

The unidentified woman left the hotel premises around 4:00 pm the same day, according to hotel staff. However, Parradang did not emerge from his room after her departure, raising concerns among hotel personnel.

The situation took a tragic turn when a close friend of Parradang, described as a military officer, traced him to the hotel after being unable to reach him. Upon arrival, the officer, accompanied by the hotel receptionist, proceeded to Parradang’s room. What they discovered was both startling and heartbreaking: the former immigration chief was found lifeless, seated in a chair.

The police have confirmed that there were no visible signs of violence or struggle in the room, ruling out the possibility of a kidnapping or physical altercation. However, the exact cause of death remains unknown, pending the results of an autopsy.

Parradang, who served as Comptroller General of the NIS from 2013 to 2015, was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s immigration and security circles.
