Gateway Air Increases Abuja Flights from Two to Four Weekly Operations
ABEOKUTA – Gateway Air has expanded its flight operations on the Abuja route, increasing the number of weekly flights from two to four as part of efforts to improve connectivity and provide passengers with greater travel flexibility.
The Consultant to the Ogun State Governor on Airport Management, Capt. Dapo Olumide, disclosed this while speaking with journalists, saying the additional flights underscore the airline’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for domestic air travel.
According to him, the expanded schedule will provide passengers with more convenient travel options while strengthening connectivity on one of Nigeria’s busiest domestic routes.
“The increase to four weekly flights on the Abuja route demonstrates our commitment to providing greater convenience, flexibility, and improved connectivity for our passengers,” Capt. Olumide said.
He explained that the expansion reflects Gateway Air’s continued efforts to enhance the reliability of its services and improve the overall travel experience for customers.
Capt. Olumide reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to providing affordable, accessible, and reliable air transportation, noting that the increase in flight frequency forms part of its strategy to strengthen domestic operations and respond to passengers’ needs.

Beyond the Abuja route, Gateway Air also operates flights connecting passengers to Port Harcourt, Kano, and Asaba, further expanding travel options and strengthening domestic air connectivity.
The expanded Abuja operations are expected to enhance business travel, boost tourism, and improve ease of movement for residents, investors, and visitors travelling to and from Ogun State.
