Abubakar Shekau’s strongman surrenders to Nigerian Army in Bama

– According to Alamin, the terrorists are beginning to loose hold of itself and cannot carry out any deadly attacks anymore A top commander of the Abubakar Shekau’s faction of Boko Haram group has surrendered to troops of the Nigerian Army.
Ramat Alamin, 47, surrendered to troops in Bama local government area of Borno state, the Nigerian Army has said.
The director of Army public relation, Texas Chukwu, a brigadier general in a statement said troops of the 22 Brigade intercepted Alamin along Dikwa-Gulumba Gana in the early hours of Tuesday, March 20.
The Army spokesperson said Alamin had told the troops that he came to Dikwa to surrender himself because Boko Haram terrorists group could no longer hold itself.
Alamin said the group members are presently in disarray with little or no logistics to carry out their deadly attacks.
“He disclosed that his personal weapon AK 47 rifle with Registration No: H3 2538, four AK 47 empty magazines and one motorcycle were hidden behind Government Teachers College Dikwa while trying to enter the town to surrender,” the brigadier general said.
