IJEBU NORTH EAST – A manhunt is currently underway for a gang of approximately eight armed men who abducted three people during a daring attack on a poultry farm along the Ibadan–Ijebu Road, authorities have confirmed.

The Executive Chairman of Ijebu North East Local Government Area, Hon. Folusho Badejo, visited the scene of the incident on Sunday to assess the situation and reassure residents of the government’s commitment to their safety.

Representing Ogun State Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, Hon. Badejo was accompanied by security operatives who have since launched a thorough investigation to track down the perpetrators.

According to reports gathered at the scene, the gunmen, wielding sophisticated weapons, stormed the poultry farm on Saturday, March 14, 2026. I want to assure our people that the state government, the local government, and our security agencies are working tirelessly to address this unfortunate incident. We are on the trail of the kidnappers, and we will do everything within our power to secure the freedom of the victims,” Hon. Badejo said.

The Chairman urged residents to remain calm but vigilant, calling on anyone with information about the incident or suspicious movements in their communities to report immediately to the nearest security agency.
