Ogun First Lady, Mrs. Abiodun Reiterated Commitment Towards Education

The wife of the Ogun state Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has reiterated the present administration’s commitment towards revamping the education sector in Ogun state.

Mrs. Abiodun emphasized this while speaking at the 2019 International Youth Day organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI) at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
She stressed the need for a reform of education in Nigeria so as to meet International standard and allow for Nigerian Youth compete favourably outside the shores of the country.

Mrs. Abiodun enjoined the youths to remain committed to the development of the nation and strive to positively impact their various communities adding that the mantle of leadership had started to fall into their hands.
The JCI National President, Adetola Juyitan earlier in her welcome address acknowledged that youths were blessed with energy, creativity and untapped reservoir of talents that could be positively utilised for self and national development with a view to bringing quality leadership to bare.
She applauded the current trend of youth involvement and participation in the country’s polity and urged them to take the mantle of responsibility in order to bring about the needed change in several facets of the society.
Similarly, members of the girl guides association of Nigeria have been congratulated on the centenary celebration of the organization in the country.
Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun gave this congratulatory message at the opening ceremony of the one week camping program organised by the association at the CMS Grammar School, Bariga, Lagos to celebrate its 100 years existence in Nigeria.
She appreciated the association for its role in training the girl child through programs aimed at developing their potentials to the fullest and preparing them to becoming responsible citizens of the society and world at large.

She advised them to continue to maintain and sustain the focus and aim of the association as envisioned by the founder, late Lord Robert Baden Powell.
Earlier, the Chief Commissioner of the association, Mrs. Maria Goretti Sule in her welcome address stated that the association had continued to wax strong by the years not only in the quality of trainings and programs regularly carried out for members but also for underprivileged girls around the country.
She added that many of the current members would not be around to celebrate another century but had decided to leave their names in the hallmark of fame for posterity by sacrificing to give their best while alive.
