AMORAN Inaugurates Over 3,000 Branch Executives Across Ogun State

The Articulated Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) has inaugurated over 3,000 branch executives across Ogun State, reinforcing its leadership structure ahead of a new three-year administrative term.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday at the union’s secretariat in Car Wash, Abeokuta, under the leadership of the Chairman, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, popularly known as Danku.
The newly inaugurated officials, comprising Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Secretaries from various branches of the association across the state, were formally sworn into office to commence their tenure.
Speaking during the event, Sokoya charged the executives to remain committed, responsible and focused on advancing the objectives of the union while promoting unity and progress within the transport sector.
According to AMORAN officials, many of the executives emerged unopposed during the election process, a development described as a demonstration of the confidence and trust members have in their leadership.
Members of the association also passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Otunba Sokoya, commending his administration for initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of members and strengthening the union’s operations across the state.
AMORAN, one of the leading commercial transport unions in Ogun State, has in recent years introduced various programmes including loan schemes, welfare packages and empowerment initiatives designed to improve the livelihoods of motorcycle owners and riders.
Addressing members at the inauguration, Sokoya expressed appreciation to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for his administration’s support for transport unions and ongoing infrastructural development across Ogun State.
He lauded the governor’s efforts in road construction and rehabilitation, noting that improved infrastructure has contributed to a more conducive environment for transport operators.
Sokoya further assured members of the union’s continued commitment to partnering with the state government in promoting peace, order and sustainable development within the transport sector.
The inauguration is widely regarded as a significant milestone for the association as it positions itself for another three years of service, leadership and advocacy on behalf of its members across Ogun State.
