Ogun ALGON Celebrates Governor Abiodun’s Birthday, Hails His Grassroots Development Efforts

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Ogun State Chapter, has joined Nigerians nationwide in celebrating the birthday of Governor Dapo Abiodun, describing him as a visionary leader committed to grassroots development and transformative governance.

In a statement released today, the Chairman of ALGON in Ogun State, Hon. (Dr.) Folasade Adeyemo, praised Governor Abiodun’s leadership, highlighting his dedication to rural development, local government reforms, and inclusive policies that have positively impacted all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.

Hon. Adeyemo stated that Governor Abiodun’s administration has prioritised grassroots empowerment, infrastructure upgrades, and institutional reforms, strengthening governance at the local level.

“Today, we celebrate not just the birth of an exceptional leader but also his remarkable contributions to Ogun State and Nigeria. His Excellency’s commitment to rural development, local government autonomy, and human capital investment has brought tangible progress to our communities,” she said.

The ALGON Chairman noted that under Governor Abiodun’s leadership, Ogun State has become a reference point for effective governance, earning recognition across Nigeria.

“Governor Abiodun’s people-centred policies, dedication to peace, and sustainable development have restored hope and confidence among citizens. His support for local governments has enabled us to deliver more democratic dividends to the people,” Adeyemo added.

ALGON Ogun prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and good health for the Governor, wishing him more years of impactful service to the state and nation.

The association also reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the state government to deepen grassroots development and improve the welfare of residents across all LGAs.

Governor Abiodun, who also serves as the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, has been widely commended for his infrastructural projects, investment drive, and inclusive governance style since assuming office in 2019.
