Ifo Local Government Holds Medical Outreach for Staff, Promotes Health Awareness

The Ifo Local Government Area has organized a medical outreach program for its staff as part of efforts to promote health awareness and early detection of health conditions.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Idris Olalekan Kusimo, through the Local Government Health Authority, provided free health screenings, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, alongside an informative health talk.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Kusimo emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare, urging staff to adopt healthy lifestyles. “A healthy workforce is essential for productivity, and early detection of health issues can save lives,” he said.
Dr. Olalekan Oke, who delivered the health talk, advised participants on the benefits of proper hydration, adequate rest, and balanced nutrition in maintaining overall well-being.
The outreach was attended by top officials, including the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abibat Ojo, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Samuel Bamigboye, supervisors, councillors, and other staff members.
Participants commended the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention to address health concerns among workers. The local government reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining such programs to ensure the welfare of its employees.
