AMORAN Hails Governor Abiodun’s 6th Anniversary, 65th Birthday, Lists Developmental Achievements

Abeokuta– The Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State chapter, has showered encomiums on Governor Dapo Abiodun as he marks his 65th birthday and sixth year in office.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the State Chairman, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, the association described Governor Abiodun as an exceptional leader whose administration has transformed Ogun State through landmark projects and people-oriented policies.

Governor Abiodun, born on May 29, 1960, was first sworn into office on his 59th birthday in 2019, creating a unique coincidence in his political journey. AMORAN noted that his re-election in 2023 was a testament to his outstanding performance during his first term.

Sokoya highlighted the governor’s numerous accomplishments, including:
– Dualization of the Ijebu Ode-Epe road
– Comprehensive rehabilitation of Abeokuta-Siun-Sagamu Expressway
– Near completion of the Agro-Cargo International Airport
– Affordable housing projects across all three senatorial districts
– Renovation of at least one school in each of the state’s 20 LGAs
– Increase in IGR from ₦50 billion to ₦150 billion
– Construction/rehabilitation of over 1000km of roads
– Creation of thousands of jobs through Amotekun and TESCOM

The AMORAN leader, a prominent APC stalwart, urged citizens to support the governor’s developmental efforts: “There’s no denying that Abiodun is an amazing leader. We must support him to ensure the development continues,” Sokoya stated.

He expressed confidence that by 2027 when Governor Abiodun completes his second term, Ogun State would emerge as Nigeria’s leading state in development indices.

The association concluded with warm birthday wishes, describing the governor as “our leader and father,” while celebrating his fifth year in his second term and sixth year as governor.
