Ipokia Council Chairman, Johnson Avoseh Inspects Ongoing Health Centre Projects

The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, conducted an on-the-spot assessment of ongoing health centre projects facilitated by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) in collaboration with the World Bank.

The inspection, which took place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, covered four health centres across the local government:

– LG Health Centre, Ifonyintedo
– LG Health Centre, Ajegunle
– LG Health Centre, Igbo-Adiguns (Idiroko)
– LG Health Centre, Tube

Speaking after the tour, Hon. Avoseh expressed satisfaction with the progress of work and stated that he looks forward to the commissioning of the projects. He emphasised that the upgraded facilities will significantly improve healthcare delivery in the council area.

The Chairman was accompanied by key officials, including the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Okewole, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Emmanuel Pogbe, and her dignitaries, such as the Supervisors for Information and Health, Hon. Ayelade Kazeem Iyanda and Hon. Simeon Olushola Bankole, respectively.

Also present were the Special Adviser on Education, Hon. David Adelabu; the Health Secretary, Dr. Adebayo Akindele; the Director of General Services and Administration, Mr. Abiodun Adeogun; and the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Hon. Moruff Jinadu.

The projects are part of efforts to enhance primary healthcare infrastructure and ensure better medical services for residents of Ipokia Local Government.
