OOLG Chairman, Ogunsola Inspects Magboro Ultra-Modern Shopping Complex, Health Centres Ahead of Commissioning

As part of preparations for officially commissioning a newly constructed Ultra-Modern Shopping Complex in Magboro, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, the Council Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, has issued a stern warning to traders operating on road setbacks and beneath the Magboro bridge to relocate to the designated market centre.
During an inspection tour of the facility and health centres in the area, Amb. Ogunsola emphasised that the government would no longer tolerate obstruction of traffic or the use of expressway bridges for displaying goods, citing safety concerns.
The council boss also urged residents in Mowe, Ibafo, and Magboro to maintain a clean environment, stressing that indiscriminate waste disposal would not be permitted in the local government, which serves as a gateway to neighbouring states in Southwestern Nigeria.
Amb. Ogunsola commended the efforts of Community Development Associations (CDAs) and the Community Development Committee (CDC) for their collaboration with the government in providing essential amenities. He encouraged other communities to emulate the public-private partnership model championed by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON.
Additionally, the chairman announced plans to establish a well-equipped general hospital in Maba Community, following the donation of two acres of land by the community for the project.
During the inspection of health centres in Oke-Afa and Magboro, Amb. Ogunsola directed immediate repairs of a leaking roof at the Magboro Health Centre and pledged to deploy more health personnel to enhance service delivery, responding to requests by Matrons Mrs. Adewunmi Funmilayo and Mrs. Oluwalere Temitope.
The inspection was attended by key officials, including Hon. Gbelekale Akeem, Supervisor for Health; Prince Adeshina Olukoga, CDC Chairman of Magboro Zonal; and representatives of community leaders.
The new projects are expected to be commissioned soon, marking another milestone in the developmental agenda of the local government.
