Bamgboye (Sammy) emerges Leader of Ifo Local Government 9th Legislative Council.

The Councillor representing Ward 3, in Ifo Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Samuel Olukayode Bamgboye has emerged as the Leader of the House at the Inauguration of the 9th session of the Council.
Hon. Bamgboye’s nomination was moved by Hon. Babatunde Kehinde Onifade (Oke Aro/Ibaragun Ward 7) and seconded by Hon. Soyemi Olalekan Abiodun (Ajuwon/Akute ward 6) with no opposing voice.
Hon. Wasiu Olalere Amoo (Ward 4) emerged as the Deputy Leader while Hon. Haruna Ade Adeboye(Isheri/Ojodu Ward 5) and Hon. Modupe Abiola Shodipo(Ward 1) became Majority Leader and Chief Whip respectively.
In a brief speech, Hon Bamgboye also known as Sammy assured residents and indigenes of the Local Government of robust legislations focused on delivering the dividends of Democracy to the people at the grassroots.
“As a second term grassroots lawmaker, I will bring my experience on board, in order to ensure that the voice of our people is heard, loud and clear, at the Local Government level” Bamgboye said
The inauguration had in attendance; stakeholders of the Local Government led by the Chairman and his Vice, Hon. Idris Olamilekan Kusimo, Hon. Maria Bolanle Ojo ; Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by the Local Government Party Chairman, Barr. Olumide Oduwole as well as other well wishers.
Highlight of the event was the decoration of the new Leader of the House with his official regalia and a reception for attendees.
