Senator Salisu Calls for Sustained Ramadan Virtues, Optimism for Nigeria’s Future

ABEOKUTA – As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, representing Ogun Central in the National Assembly, has issued a compelling call to Nigerians to maintain the lessons learned during the sacred period for the advancement of the nation. He also expressed strong optimism for Nigeria’s future, assuring citizens that better days are ahead.
In a goodwill message extended to Muslims across Ogun State and Nigeria, Senator Salisu stressed the significance of upholding the virtues of Ramadan, including discipline, generosity, and unity, as essential components for fostering national development.
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber Security conveyed his belief that by embracing the values of self-restraint, compassion, and unwavering faith demonstrated throughout Ramadan, Nigeria will successfully navigate its current challenges and emerge more resilient.
“If every Nigerian adopts the discipline, God-consciousness, and love that define Ramadan, our Nation will rise above socioeconomic difficulties and achieve its destined greatness,” Senator Salisu affirmed.
He highlighted Ramadan’s role as a period of spiritual rejuvenation, strengthening the bond between citizens and their faith, as well as fostering stronger community ties. Senator Salisu commended the widespread acts of charity and solidarity observed during the month, urging Nigerians to continue these practices beyond Ramadan.
“As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, let us carry forward the spirit of compassion, unity, and service to humanity. The lessons of Ramadan remind us that after sacrifice comes joy, and Nigeria will surely rebound under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership,” he added.
Senator Salisu encouraged Nigerians to maintain hope and continue praying for the nation, assuring them that the present economic hardships are temporary and will pave the way for a more prosperous future.
