Ifo LG Chairman, Kusimo, Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Healthcare, Pledges Renovation of Health Centers
The Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon. Idris Olalekan Kusimo, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to residents of the Council Area.
Speaking during a meeting held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, with Ward Development Committee (WDC) Chairmen and Officers in Charge (OICs) of Health Centers at the Local Government Secretariat, Hon. Kusimo announced the ongoing renovation of select health facilities, including Adiyan Primary Health Centre, with plans to extend the upgrade to that of Iju-Aga in the coming weeks.
Emphasising healthcare as a cornerstone of his campaign promises, the Chairman pledged continued support for the numerous programmes in the health sector of the Local Government, including the upcoming immunization campaign later this month. He urged the WDC Chairmen and OICs to prioritize innovative strategies for improving service delivery. He also commended all the healthcare workers across the Local Government for their dedication.
In his address, Dr. Olalekan Oke, Health Secretary of the Council’s Health Authority, assured residents that WDCs, OICs, and other healthcare officials in the Local Government would continue to uphold their mandate of providing accessible, quality healthcare to the people.
The meeting was attended by the Supervisor for Health, Hon. Seyi Ijale, all WDC Chairmen, Health Center OICs, and key Heads of Departments in the Local Government Health Authority.
