APC Stakeholders in Ibogun Ward Dismiss Chief Fadairo’s Endorsement of Adebutu as ‘Empty Symbolism’, Demand Sack of ‘Traitorous’ Loyalists

IBOGUN – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibogun Ward has described the endorsement of PDP chieftain Hon. Ladi Adebutu by Chief Joju Fadairo as a politically weightless gesture that poses no threat to the party’s structure in the area.
In a strongly worded statement issued by the ward’s stakeholders and leaders, Chief Fadairo was accused of having no real grassroots presence or electoral value, despite his claims to influence.
According to the APC leaders, Chief Fadairo’s membership of the party in Ibogun Ward exists only on paper. “Since joining the party, he has never attended a single ward meeting in Ibogun, the very ward he hails from. In truth, he does not even know where the ward secretariat is situated,” the statement read. “Party membership is more than a name on a register—it requires presence, participation, and commitment to the grassroots. On all three counts, Chief Fadairo has been absent.”
The stakeholders further alleged that Chief Fadairo’s contributions to the APC have been negligible, accusing him of benefiting from party opportunities without giving anything back. They pointed to appointments and nominations linked to him, including a local government supervisor, a councillor, a local government adviser, a ward chairman, a ward secretary, and a youth leader.
“None of these individuals participated in the ward congress or went through the legitimate process recognised by the party. Such actions undermine internal democracy and reduce the party to a personal patronage network,” the statement added.
In a dramatic escalation, the APC leaders called for immediate action against those nominated by Chief Fadairo. “WE THEREFORE REQUEST THE SACK AND REMOVAL OF THE OFFICERS BY THE GOVERNMENT AS THEY ARE TRAITORS LIKE CHIEF JOJU FADAIRO,” the statement declared.
The stakeholders also dismissed any suggestion that Chief Fadairo could influence voting outcomes, citing his poor electoral record. “History shows that Chief Fadairo has no electoral value in his own unit. Even while he was in the People’s Democratic Party, the APC consistently defeated him at his polling booth. If he could not deliver his immediate environment for the PDP when he was fully active within it, it is unrealistic to expect that his current endorsement will swing votes for anyone,” they said.
Describing the endorsement as an attempt to create an “illusion of influence,” the APC leaders maintained that the people of Ibogun Ward are politically aware and can distinguish genuine grassroots leaders from opportunists.
“The APC in Ibogun Ward remains strong, united, and rooted in the people. Chief Joju Fadairo’s endorsement is neither a threat nor a setback. It is a reminder that political relevance is earned through service, consistency, and loyalty—not through opportunism and self-appointment,” the statement concluded.
In a firm pledge of loyalty, the stakeholders declared: “We equally want to place on record that we will deliver Ibogun ward for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) and all other candidates of our great party in the 2027 general election.”
