Universal Club of Remo Unveils New Executive Committee, Taofeek Sokoya Pledges Support

SAGAMU – The Universal Club of Remo has inaugurated a new executive committee to steer the affairs of the socio-cultural organisation, with members expressing optimism that the new leadership will further strengthen the club’s commitment to unity, community development and social progress.

Leading the newly constituted executive is Otunba Apelogun Musa Hammed, who emerged as President, while Chief Taofeek Tola Sokoya was installed as the Grand Patron of the club.

Other members of the executive include Hon. Soyinka Abiodun Ayodele as Vice President, Prince Odunuga Adetola Kazeem as General Secretary, Alhaji Raji Taiwo Basiru as Assistant Secretary, Engr. Soyiga Mayowa Michael as Treasurer, Alhaji Ogunnubi Idowu Maroof as Social Secretary, Hon. Oyename Akinsanya Waheed as Financial Secretary, and Mr. Adebayo Hakeem Bamidele as Chief Whip.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration, the Grand Patron, Chief Taofeek Tola Sokoya, congratulated the newly elected officers and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, transparency and a spirit of selfless service.

He assured the new leadership of his full support, stressing that the success of the club would depend on collective responsibility and the active participation of all members.

President of the club, Otunba Apelogun Musa Hammed, on behalf of the newly inaugurated executive, expressed appreciation to members for the confidence reposed in them, pledging to justify the trust through purposeful leadership.

He promised that the new executive would focus on promoting unity among members, expanding the club’s developmental initiatives and strengthening its role in advancing the socio-economic growth of Remoland.

The inauguration marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Universal Club of Remo as members expressed confidence that the new leadership would build on the club’s achievements and further its vision of service, fellowship and community development.
