2027: Omoniyi, APC Leaders Intensify Mobilisation in Yewa North, Pledge Massive Victory for Tinubu, Yayi, Other Candidates

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yewa North Local Government have intensified consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, reaffirming their commitment to delivering overwhelming victories for the party’s candidates at all levels.

The resolution was reached during a strategic meeting of political associates and supporters of the Ogun State Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, held in Joga Orile. The meeting was jointly convened by former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraju Ishola Adekunbi, and Engr. Tope Kuyebi.

The gathering drew an array of party leaders and stakeholders, including the Chairman of Yewa North Local Government, Dr. Samuel Akinbode; the member representing Yewa North II State Constituency, Hon. Wahab Haruna; APC candidate for Yewa North I State Constituency, Hon. Awayeti Sarafadeen; APC Chairman in Yewa North, Chief Gabriel Adeosun; Elder S.M.A. Akinyemi, as well as women leaders, youth representatives, party elders and grassroots mobilisers.

Addressing the meeting, Jagunmolu Omoniyi urged party members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC, stressing that sustained grassroots mobilisation, discipline and collective responsibility would be critical to the party’s success in the forthcoming elections.

He expressed confidence that the APC’s candidates enjoy widespread acceptance among the people and pledged to lead an aggressive mobilisation campaign across Yewa North and neighbouring communities.

Omoniyi assured party faithful of his commitment to securing massive support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the election of the APC governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), the party’s senatorial candidate, Hon. Jimoh Ojugbele, House of Representatives candidate for Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI), as well as the APC House of Assembly candidates for Yewa North I and II State Constituencies, Hon. Awayeti Sarafadeen and Hon. Wahab Haruna.

In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Suraju Ishola Adekunbi described the meeting as part of a series of consultations aimed at strengthening unity within the APC and consolidating its grassroots structures ahead of the elections.

He noted that the party was not only focused on winning elections but also on promoting its progressive ideology, expanding public engagement and ensuring members remain united behind a common vision for Ogun State.

Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Yewa North, Chief Gabriel Adeosun, and the Chairman of Yewa North Local Government, Dr. Samuel Akinbode, called for intensified mobilisation, particularly in the areas of voter registration and participation.

According to them, the APC has fulfilled its campaign promises beyond the expectations of critics, making it imperative for members to work collectively to surpass the party’s previous electoral performance.

Other party leaders echoed similar sentiments, assuring members of sustained consultations and broader engagement across wards and communities to strengthen the APC’s support base and position the party for decisive victories in Yewa North and across Ogun State during the 2027 general elections.

The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge by party leaders and supporters to deepen grassroots mobilisation, sustain party unity and ensure the APC records convincing victories in all elective positions in the forthcoming polls.
