Senator Adeola Commiserates with Victims of Destructive Rainstorm in Ipokia LGA

Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West) has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating rainstorm that wreaked havoc in parts of Ipokia Local Government Area, particularly in Ilase community, where the disaster claimed the life of a 14-year-old student and caused extensive damage to public and private properties.

In a heartfelt statement, Senator Adeola lamented the tragic death of Master Timothy Amosun, a JSS 3 student at Mayigi Community Comprehensive High School, Ilase, who lost his life when a classroom collapsed during the storm. The natural disaster also left many others injured and completely destroyed over 40 buildings, including homes and public structures.

The senator extended his condolences to the family of the deceased student, describing the loss as “highly regrettable and irreparable.” He pledged to work closely with the traditional ruler of Ilase, Oba John Adewale Olaifa, to provide relief to the affected families and facilitate the reconstruction of damaged properties through relevant government agencies.

Senator Adeola also prayed for the peaceful repose of Master Timothy’s soul and urged the community to remain resilient in the face of the tragedy. He assured his constituents of his commitment to ensuring that necessary support is provided to mitigate the impact of the disaster.

The rainstorm, which struck during daylight hours, has left the Ilase community in shock and mourning. As efforts to assess the full extent of the damage continue, Senator Adeola’s intervention offers a glimmer of hope for the affected residents.
