Ogun Rep, Femi Ogunbanwo pushes for the Dualization of Idowa-Ibefun-Itokin Road

House of Representatives member for Ijebu Federal Constituency,Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo continues the focused representation of his Constituency today 13th November,2023 moved a motion for the dualization of the Idowa-Ibefun-Itokin Road at the plenary of the green chamber

It should be noted that the Ijebu-Ode-Ibefun-Itokin-Agbowa-Ikorodu Federal Road connecting Ogun and Lagos states serves various communities as ljede, Imota, Epe, Agbowa, Itokin, ldowa, Ibefun and it is also an alternative route for commuters from South East and South-South parts of the nation as it connects the Sagamu – Ore – Benin Expressway.

He also made it known to House that major industries and tourist attractions like the Imota Rice Mill, Julius Berger’s Burial Site, and Ejinrin Market are located along the axis of the road.

It is pertinent to state that the strategic road offers a viable alternative to the Lekki-Eti-Osa-Epe Expressway which is likely to have increased vehicular movement due to industrial activities in the Lekki Free Trade Zone. Motion was thereafter adopted by the House of Representatives.
