Ipokia LG Emphasises Professional Conduct, Agricultural Skills in Staff Training

The Ipokia Local Government Administration today underscored the importance of continuous professional development and adherence to ethical standards among its employees. Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Emmanuel Pogbe, addressed all local government staffers at the commencement of an in-house training program held at the Local Government Secretariat (NULGE Building).
The HOLGA made this charge during the commencement of the in-house training for all staff in the Local Government Secretariat (NULGE Building) on Wednesday, 7th of May 2025.
Mr Emma Pogbe further charged the workers to listen attentively and put into practice the lessons learnt during the training session.
The first paper was presented by the Director of General Services and Administration, Mr. Abiodun Adeogun. It dealt with Staff regulations.
According to Mr. Adeogun, Staff regulations entail rules and regulations guiding the Local Government Service, which the Workers are expected to abide by; failure to do so will attract punitive measures.
He also shed light on certain behaviours which negate work ethics in the Civil Service, which is known as misconduct, and they are punishable.
The following behaviors falls under misconduct according to Mr. Adeogun: corruption, dishonesty, drunkenness, falsification of documents, physical combat, others are insubordination, negligence, conviction/criminal charge, indebtedness, absence without leave and participation in politics.
The second paper was presented by the Director of Agriculture and National Resources, Mr. Ezekiel Omidiji. He gave a detailed lecture on backyard farming and Snail rearing.
The training was well attended by all Directors, all Heads of departments and all Staffers.
