Progressive Heritage Foundation Holds General Meeting in Ogun, Reaffirms Loyalty to Osoba, Abiodun

Abeokuta – The Progressive Heritage Foundation of Ogun State held a general meeting/summit on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Akinrogun House, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, where key resolutions were reached concerning the state’s political landscape.
In a communique issued after the meeting, the group made the following declarations:
1) The meeting recognized His Excellency Aremo Olusegun Osoba as the progressive leader in Ogun State and a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
2) The gathering also acknowledged His Excellency, Dr. Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, as the leader of the APC in the state.
3) The progressive members clarified that they have not adopted any aspirants for elective offices in the 2027 elections, stating that the selection of candidates remains the sole responsibility of the party’s leadership in the state.
4) The forum expressed dissatisfaction with the treatment of progressive members under the current APC administration in Ogun State, noting their concerns about inclusivity in governance.
5) Despite these concerns, the group congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun for his achievements in security, investment, and other sectors of the state’s economy.
6) Members were urged to continue engaging with other APC groups in the spirit of unity, love, and accommodation.
7) The progressive members pledged unwavering loyalty and support to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration, wishing him greater success in the remaining years of his tenure.
8) The meeting officially adopted the name *Progressive Heritage Foundation* for all future political engagements and activities.
The communique was signed by representatives from the three senatorial districts, including Peister Matthew Cladat (Ogun Central), and the State Coordinator, H. Gundcle Khaidi.
This gathering reinforces the foundation’s commitment to the APC’s leadership while calling for better inclusion of progressive stakeholders in Ogun State’s governance.
