Breaking: Olumide Osoba distributes FG palliative to constituents

A House of Representative member representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/Odefa Federal Constituency, Hon. Olumide Babatunde Osoba, on Wednesday, distributed the Federal Government palliative to 7000 constituents.

The event which was organized by the lawmaker in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security was held at the Ataba Close, Ibara GRA, Abeokuta.

Speaking with journalists, Hon Olumide Osoba said the Federal Government is concerned with the hardship and is currently working to make life better for everyone.

He said, “We have been supplied with these food items to deliver to our constituents. Figures are so difficult to believe. You have heard in the media all sorts of amounts.

All I know is that no member of the House of Representatives has been given a dime. What you are seeing is facilitated by the Ministry of Agriculture and delivered by a contractor, so nobody was giving any money.

“It is all about collective efforts. You do your bit and I do my bit. If I do over 2,000 today and in December I gave N100,000 to 800 people, it is adding up. Everybody must do their bit.”

There was however confusion over the true situation of things following a delay of the distribution by the lawmakers.

A mammoth crowd of residents, the majority of whom are aged men and women, gathered as the 7,000 food items including 3,000 bags of rice, and 2,000 bags of beans of various sizes were stacked at the Ataba Close which it was distributed
