Ogun APC Primary: Doregos Wins Adejojo in Court

A Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has dismissed a suit challenging the Abeokuta South State Constituency 1 House of Assembly primary elections of the All Progressives Congress, APC, won ceremoniously by Oluwatobi Hon Taiwo Doregos.
In a landmark judgment delivered by Hon Justice O.O. Oguntoyinbo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, in suit number FHC/AB/CS/99/2022, the panel of justice struck out the suit filed by Hon Yusuf Temitope Adejojo challenging the victory of Hon Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregos at the APC primaries held on the 26th of May 2022 on the basis that the petition is lacking both in merit and substance, as Hon Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregos did not in any way contravene the provisions of the Electoral Act, and declared Hon Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregos as the duly elected candidate of the APC for Abeokuta South State Constituency 1.
Delivering his judgment, Hon Justice O.O Oguntoyinbo said “the plaintiff suit is lacking in both merit and substance and is hereby dismissed”.
Amid wild jubilations and felicitations, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming 2023 general elections for Abeokuta South State Constituency 1, Hon Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregos has described his victory at the Federal High Court as a victory for the citizens and residents of Abeokuta South State Constituency 1 and urge supporters to work toward the success of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
