Rural Electrification: Ifo LG Chairman, Delano Lauds Dapo Abiodun

The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano has applauded His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, the Ogun State Governor on his giant strides in the area of rural electrification.
Hon. Delano gave the commendation on Thursday 6th October, 2022 at the Local Government Secretariat in her welcome speech while playing host to the State’s Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Abayomi Hunyen who was on a day working visit to hold a meeting with the Executives and members of the Community Development Councils (CDC) on the proposed distribution of Power transformers to various communities by the current administration in the State.
The Council boss also showered encomium on the Governor for other developmental projects going on across the length and breadth of the Council Area in particular and Ogun State at large. She therefore, assured that the people of the Local Government Area will reciprocate the kind gesture with massive votes during the next year general elections.
Speaking at the event, the Ogun State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Abayomi Hunyen appreciated the Council Chairman for the warm reception accorded him and his team. He stressed that the present government is committed and ready to distribute the transformers as soon as possible but will not want them to be left unattended to, and that is his reason for embarking on the inspection tour to ascertain the readiness of the beneficiary communities.
He added that the government embarked on the distribution of the transformers because of the enormous economic importance of electricity to the people. He also reiterated that the present government in the State is ready to do more in delivering the much needed dividends of democracy to its citizenry.
The Commissioner also hinted that there will soon be issuance of identity cards to the residents of the State through the Local Government Areas. This he said, is part of efforts to curb insecurity. He later visited the communities already shortlisted to benefit from the transformers which cut across the two constituencies of the Council area.
In their separate speeches, the Chairman, Zonal Community Development Council (ZCDC), Prince Amos Oladele and the Senatorial Chairman, Community Development Association, Alhaji Adekunle thanked the Government for yet another promise made and kept. They however, promised their full support during the coming general elections as one good “term” deserves another.
The meeting had in attendance; the Vice Chairman, Hon. Adebesin Oladapo, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives, Alhaji Fatai Ogunlana and the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Akinyemi Adeyanju. Others include Honorable Councillors, Supervisors, Special Advisers, Consultants, Directors/ Head of Departments, members of Community Development and Information Departments, representatives of Traditional Rulers, CAN, Muslim Community among many others.
