Ogunsola Begins Reconstruction of Mowe Market Road, Commences Modern Market Project in Ibafo
....…Promises Mini-Bridge Linking Odo Ijesa, Isan and Aberu Communities

The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ogun State, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, has commenced the reconstruction of the Pakuro 09 Junction–Mowe Market Road and the construction of a modern market in Ibafo as part of efforts to improve infrastructure and boost commercial activities across the local government area.
The road project, identified by reference number OOLG/006/2026, is being executed by SOLE Limited. Upon completion, it is expected to improve access to Mowe Market and the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, ease transportation and facilitate the movement of goods and services.
The road serves traders, residents, commuters and business operators who depend on it for their daily activities.
In a related development, Ogunsola has commenced the construction of a modern market in Ibafo to provide improved trading facilities and a more organised commercial environment for traders and residents.
The initiative is expected to support local businesses and respond to the growing commercial activities in Ibafo, a rapidly developing community close to Lagos State.
The chairman disclosed the projects during a campaign visit by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Kajola, Odo Ijesa and Obafemi communities, where he highlighted his administration’s infrastructure development initiatives and commitment to grassroots development.
During the engagement, Ogunsola also promised to construct a mini-bridge linking Odo Ijesa, Isan and Aberu communities in the Kajola axis of the local government.
The proposed bridge is expected to improve connectivity among the communities, ease movement for residents and farmers, and facilitate the transportation of agricultural produce and other goods.
Ogunsola also urged residents to participate in the democratic process and support APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Among the political figures mentioned during the campaign engagement were President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon-Yayi, Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, Hon. Olumide Osoba and Hon. Soneye Damilola Kayode.
The three infrastructure initiatives form part of the development projects being highlighted by the Ogunsola administration in its efforts to improve transportation, strengthen commercial activities and address community needs across Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
Residents will look forward to the timely completion of the ongoing projects and the delivery of the proposed bridge, with their impact expected to be measured by their quality, durability and benefits to the benefiting communities.
