Team 20,000 Votes for Yayi 2027 Emerges to Mobilise Young Professionals, Technocrats
A new political support network, Team 20,000 Votes for Yayi 2027, has been established in Ogun State to mobilise young professionals, technocrats, entrepreneurs, content creators and other citizens in support of the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to a statement issued by the convener, Aroboto Rasheed, the initiative is designed to provide a structured platform for individuals who may not ordinarily participate actively in traditional political structures but wish to contribute their professional expertise, ideas, networks and civic interests to the 2027 political process.
The group said its membership would include professionals and stakeholders from various sectors, including technology, business, education, finance, entrepreneurship and the creative industry.
The statement noted that the initiative would promote political engagement through respectful discussions, information sharing, civic participation and constructive interaction among members, while maintaining its declared support for Senator Adeola.
The name Team 20,000 Votes for Yayi 2027, according to the convener, reflects the group’s stated target of building a network of 20,000 supporters ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.
Rasheed said the initiative would particularly provide an organised platform for individuals participating in political activities for the first time, while maintaining a professional and technology-driven identity.
The group has consequently commenced membership registration and organisational activities across Ogun State and beyond as it begins preparations for its mobilisation programme ahead of the 2027 election.
