BREAKING: APC Opens Wide Lead in Ekiti Governorship Election as Results from 1,080 Polling Units Arrive

Ado-Ekiti – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken an early and commanding lead in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, according to results collated from 1,080 polling units across the state.
As of 4:17 p.m., the APC had secured 126,927 votes, significantly ahead of its closest challenger, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which polled 15,422 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) trailed with 4,537 votes.
The figures released so far represent results from less than half of the state’s 2,445 polling units, leaving 1,365 polling units yet to be declared.
Collation of results continued across the state amid heightened interest from political parties, election observers, and supporters monitoring the exercise.
With the APC maintaining a substantial lead in the early returns, attention is now focused on the remaining polling units as the race enters a critical stage.
However, electoral authorities have cautioned that the figures remain provisional pending the completion of collation and the official declaration of results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Further updates are expected as more results are announced from the outstanding polling units.
