Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu (OMOYAYI), FNCS, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial District, has taken his grassroots mobilisation campaign to Abeokuta South Local Government, urging party leaders and members to remain united ahead of the 2027 elections.

Salisu made the call during an engagement with APC stakeholders from the 15 wards of Abeokuta South at the Panseke Skating Ground, where he was received by party leaders, elected representatives, political appointees, ward leaders and other stakeholders.

Addressing the gathering, the Senator stressed the need for unity of purpose among party members, while appealing to leaders to close ranks and work collectively to strengthen the party across the local government.

He urged APC supporters to vote for all the party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), APC candidate for Ogun State governor, and himself as the party’s candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial District.

He also solicited support for Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi, APC candidate for Abeokuta South Constituency II; Hon. Lukmon Atobatele, APC candidate for Abeokuta South Constituency I; and Hon. Afolabi Afuape, APC candidate for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.

According to Salisu, the unity and cooperation of party members at the grassroots remain important to the party’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections.

The event provided an opportunity for the Senator to interact directly with stakeholders across the 15 wards, listen to party members and reinforce communication between the party’s leadership and its grassroots structure.

The gathering was attended by virtually all the major APC leaders and stakeholders in Abeokuta South Local Government, reflecting broad participation from the local government political structure.
