Ogun Lawmaker, Hon. Bakare, Appears Before APC Screening Committee

Member representing Ijebu-Ode State Constituency and Chief Whip of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. (Mrs.) Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju Serifat, on Sunday appeared before the All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee as part of the party’s screening exercise ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Recall that Hon. Bakare is seeking re-election to represent Ijebu-Ode State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly.
Hon. Bakare, who was received by members of the screening committee, expressed confidence in the transparency and credibility of the exercise, describing the process as a reflection of the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and due process.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the screening, the lawmaker reaffirmed her loyalty to the party and expressed appreciation to party leaders and supporters across her constituency for their continued encouragement and support.
“I particularly appreciate the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, my party leaders in the constituency, and the good people of Ijebu-Ode State Constituency for their continued support,” she stated.
The lawmaker also pledged to remain committed to the ideals of good governance, effective representation, and grassroots development, noting that the progress of Ogun State remains a collective responsibility.
Party faithful and supporters who accompanied the lawmaker commended her leadership style, dedication to service, and contributions to legislative activities within the Ogun State House of Assembly, describing her as the right candidate for the position.
The APC screening exercise forms part of the party’s preparations to ensure that qualified and credible candidates emerge through its internal democratic processes.
