Renowned Industrialist, Ibrahim Badmos, Throws Hat into the Ring for Obafemi-Owode LG Chairmanship

In a move that has generated significant excitement among residents, popular industrialist and former assembly aspirant and local government aspirant, Ibrahim Oladipupo Badmos has formally declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship position of Obafemi-Owode Local Government in Ogun State.

Badmos made his declaration at the APC secretariat in Oba Ward 7, where he was warmly received by party leaders and supporters. The APC party chairman in the ward area, Hon. Emmanuel Olatoye, praised Badmos for his commitment to excellence and dependability, stating that his candidacy would bring quality leadership to the chairmanship race.

In his declaration speech, while addressing the party Leaders and 27 ward excos of the party Honourable Badmos outlined his vision for the development of Obafemi-Owode, promising to revolutionize agriculture, transform the face of governance, and bring about significant improvements in rural and urban centres.

Specifically, he pledged to:

– Implementing innovative agricultural practices* to boost food production and empower local farmers
– Ensuring transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in governance
– Developing infrastructure and providing access to basic amenities in rural and urban areas
– Provision of health facilities*, job placement, and employment generation
– Women and youth empowerment

“Our local government’s agricultural sector is the backbone of our economy, and I am committed to transforming it through economic empowerment. My goal is to revolutionize agriculture in Obafemi-Owode by implementing innovative strategies that enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and increase profitability for farmers and stakeholders alike. This will not only boost our national economy but also ensure food security and sustainability for future generations”
