NSF: Team Ogun Wins More Medals, Surpasses 2018 Medal Records

Team Ogun has clinched two more Gold Medals on Saturday at the Ongoing 20th National Sports Festival in Edo to surpass their records of Eight (8) gold medals at Abuja 2018.

Latifat Tijani of Team Ogun opened the gold rush and confirmed her supremacy as a force to reckon with in the para-powerlifting 45kg category at the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival.

Lolade Adeyemi an Ogun Darter also made the state proud again with her 3rd GOLD medal in the ladies 301 game while Toluwanimi Odedola won the SILVER medal in the ladies 301 game both for Team Ogun.

The bronze medal was won by Onuyo Onajite of Edo state.


Darts Player, Ololade Adeyemi strikes second gold for Team Ogun at the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) tagged “Edo 2020” on Thursday, after winning DARTS 701 individual (Female) at Imaguero College, Sapele Road, Benin City.

There was more to celebrate for Team Ogun in Benin City on Saturday as two silver medals in Rugby and para athletics and two bronze medals in women 400 metres hurdles and cycling to bring its medal haul on day nine to two gold two silver and six (6) bronze medals.

Four boxers out of the six that fought in the semi finals booked final tickets while three more will seek to box in the final on Sunday.

It should be recalled that Team Ogun already recorded Nine (9) Gold , four (7) Silver and Ten(20)bronze medals for the Gateway state.

Delta state still maintains her lead on the medals table with 47 gold 27 silver and 34 bronze medals. Host Edo is second with 39 gold 43 silver and 39 bronze medals while Bayelsa occupies the third position with 27 gold 11 silver and 12 bronze medals.
