Ministers, Security Chiefs to Converge in Lagos for 12th TMnews Summit on Community Safety

LAGOS, Nigeria – Key figures from the federal government, security agencies, and the private sector are set to gather in Lagos for the 12th Annual TMnews Summit & Awards, scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025.

The high-profile event, “Securing the Future: A Collaborative Approach to Community Safety,” will be held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island.

The summit aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among policymakers, industry leaders, and advocates to address pressing security challenges. The Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Adron Groups, Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, will serve as the Chief Host, while the National President of ACOMORAN, Alhaji Samsudeen Apelogun, will chair the occasion.

According to the organisers, confirmed attendees include a significant delegation from the federal cabinet, notably:

· His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola (CON), Minister of Marine and Blue Economy
· Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior
· Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development
· Hon. Sa’idu Alkali, Minister of Transportation
· Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, Minister of State for Health

Other prominent figures expected are Barrister Seyi Tinubu, Founder of the Cityboy Movement, and Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade (Triple-A), alongside several security chiefs and leaders from the private sector.

The event will commence with a red carpet reception at 3 p.m., followed by a series of panel discussions and keynote addresses focused on strategies for enhancing national safety through cooperative efforts between government institutions, corporations, and local communities.

A highlight of the evening will be the TMnews Humanitarian Awards, where 20 individuals and organisations will be honoured for their exceptional contributions to humanitarian service, corporate social responsibility, and social impact.

In a statement, the Editor-in-Chief and Executive Producer of TMnews Magazine, Temidayo Babalola, emphasised the summit’s critical objective. “This year’s theme reflects the urgent need for collective responsibility in tackling community safety. The TMnews Summit is about building networks that drive positive change while celebrating those already making a difference,” he said.

The summit will also feature live performances from local artists, concluding with an awards ceremony and gala.
