Ipokia LG Boss, Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh Seeks Harmonious Relationship Between Executive and Legislative Councils

The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, has called for cooperation between the Legislative Council and the Executive Council to drive development in the local government.

Hon. Avoseh made this call during the inauguration of the 9th Legislative Council of Ipokia Local Government, held on November 25, 2024. He urged the two arms of government to work together diligently and sincerely to take the local government to greater heights.

The Executive Chairman congratulated the Honourable Councillors on their success in the last local government polls and charged them to enact bye-laws that would bring development and succour to the lives of ordinary citizens.

In his inaugural speech, the newly elected Leader of the 9th Legislature, Hon. Adeyanju Akeem Alamu, pledged to work with the Executive arm and local government staff to develop Ipokia Local Government.

The principal officers of the House include:

– Hon. Akala Sherrif Opeyemi: Majority Leader, representing Ipokia Ward 2
– Hon. Balogun Daniel Olawale: Chief Whip, representing Ihunbo/Ilase Ward
