The Ogun State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has described the death of the immediate past lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District, , Sen. Buruji Kashamu as deep shock, sad and sudden.
The party said this in a statement signed by its Chairman, Chief Samson Bamgbose and made it available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Saturday, he described Kashamu’s death as a huge loss to his family, his party, his State and indeed, Nigeria.
The statement reads in part, “Indeed, Nigeria has lost one of her finest; a philantrophist of note, a bridge builder and a quintessential leader with the interest of the masses at heart.
“He was an embodiment of ideals and visions. On the political sphere, this great Nigerian will be remembered for his contributions to the success of our party.
“We are therefore greatly saddened that he left the stage at this trying time in the history of our party, when his contributions is needed the most.
“We commiserate with the Kashamu family, his politiical associates, as well as the government and people of Ogun state, even as we pray that the Almighty God grants his soul eternal repose and fortitude to the family and the nation at large, to bear this huge loss.”
