APC Chairman, Sanusi Mourns Former Ogun Lawmaker, Soyemi Coker

Abeokuta – Chief Yemi Sanusi, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has expressed profound grief over the passing of Hon. Soyemi Coker, former Chairman of Odeda Local Government and former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

Hon. Coker, who represented Odeda State Constituency, passed away on Saturday at the age of 66.

In a condolence message issued on Sunday, Chief Sanusi described the late lawmaker as a committed public servant, loyal party man, and respected leader who dedicated his life to the development of Ogun State.

“Hon. Coker was a committed public servant, a loyal party man, and a respected leader who gave his best to the development of our land. His death is a great loss not only to his family but to all of us who knew him and worked with him,” the APC chairman stated.

Chief Sanusi extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of his family, APC leaders, and teeming members to the bereaved family.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, the entire Coker family, Odeda Leaders and all his associates,” he added.

The APC chairman prayed for divine strength for the family to bear what he described as an “irreparable loss” and prayed for the eternal repose of the departed soul.

“May God Almighty grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and grant his gentle soul eternal rest,” Chief Sanusi concluded.

Hon. Coker’s political career spanned several decades, during which he served in various capacities, including as Chairman of Odeda Local Government and as a lawmaker in the Ogun State House of Assembly.
