Ipokia LG Chairman, Hon. Avoseh, Rallies Stakeholders as Senator Yayi Hosts APC Unity Engagement

The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, on Saturday joined a high-powered stakeholders’ meeting convened by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.










Held at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, Empire, Ilaro, the gathering drew party leaders from both Yewa South and Ipokia Local Government in what was described as a strategic family meeting. Senator Adeola, widely regarded as the party’s frontline governorship hopeful, used the occasion to emphasize the importance of unity and early grassroots mobilisation.
Hon. Avoseh led a formidable delegation from Ipokia, which included former Deputy Governor Her Excellency Salmot Badru Makanjuola, Vice Chairman Hon. (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Okewole, Secretary to the Local Government Hon. Johnson Olushola Babajide, and the member representing Idiroko/Ipokia State Constituency, Otunba Bisi Oyedele. Former federal lawmakers Hon. Kamor Oduntan and Hon. AbdulKabir Adekunle Akinlade, Ambassador Isiaka Adesola Abolurin, party chairman Hon. Agbaakin Agbetokun Wasiu, all councillors, supervisors, and special advisers were also in attendance.
The engagement reaffirmed the commitment of APC chieftains to collaboration and strategic grassroots engagement, with participants resolving to work collectively towards delivering all party candidates in the coming elections.
The meeting was confirmed in a statement signed by the Media and Public Engagement unit of the Ipokia Local Government chairman.
