Opinion: Governor Amosun is a ‘Political Ingrate’

Undoubtedly, the gateway state was part of the states that returned to the Progressive fold in 2011 when the incumbent Governor was elected on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

The ACN confortably defeated the then Governor who claimed to be the Lion of the West as a result of Broom revolution which took over the entire South west region of Nigeria.

This revolution was led by the Governor emeritus of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu using the Sterling performance of the workaholic Governor of Lagos, Babatunde Raji Fashola as a campaign tool indicating that the Progressives will deliver good governance to the people if allowed to take over other south Western States.

The incumbent Governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun who had lost the Governorship contest in 2007 when he flew the flag of the ANPP was a beneficiary of the broom revolution championed by Asiwaju Tinubu.

Recently, the Progressive Party (Now APC) in the state had fracas within it’s fold due to the outcome of the Party primaries which Governor Amosun failed to accept.

Perhaps, the Governor had forgotten that the party supercedes anyone, he took his loyalists into another party ,the APM while he remained as a thorn in the flesh of the APC in order to use the platform for his selfish Senatorial ambition.

He has continually used the Ogun state tax payers money to demarket the party that rescued him in 2011, debase the Party hierarchy and fund his new party.

Maybe Governor Amosun needs to be reminded that, *But without Tinubu and Osoba, his governorship ambition would have been a mirage*

Despite the wide acceptance of President Buhari in Ogun state, it would not be forgotten in a distance that ‘the only state in PMB’s Political career where he was stoned and booed is Ogun state under the watch is of SIA.

If human beings are this ungrateful to leaders , then , they stand to block the ways of other people’s prosperity and opportunities.

Governor Amosun has lost his popularity among the people and his being mocked in the nooks and crannies of the country. He gives money to any intending member of the APM as if Ogun state has an Oil well.
