Ogun Speaker, Elemide Launches Mosquito Net Distribution, Urges Proper Use
In a bid to combat malaria, Ogun State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Daisi Olusegun Elemide, launched the distribution of mosquito nets at the Alogi Health Center in Odeda Local Government Area on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. This initiative is part of the State Government’s proactive approach to addressing public health concerns ¹.
During the event, Elemide praised the State Government for making mosquito nets available to all residents free of charge. He emphasized the importance of using the nets correctly, warning against repurposing them for unintended uses such as window screening or sieving cassava, which would undermine their effectiveness in preventing malaria.
Elemide also highlighted the need for inclusive distribution, ensuring that the nets reach every grassroots area within Odeda Local Government Area. This effort demonstrates the State Government’s commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of all citizens in the region.
