Ogun First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun Welcomes First Baby of the Year

The First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has welcomed the first baby of the year, baby girl Olude, born at 12.01am at the Oba Ademola Maternity Hospital, Ijemo, Abeokuta, weighing 3.5kg.

The First Lady, while gifting the baby with cash and a baby pack, congratulated the parents who had waited for eight years after marriage before having the baby.

She also welcomed baby Adenowo, a boy at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital born at 12.07am weighing 3.95kg, with the gift of cash and baby items.

Mrs Abiodun, who extended her kind gesture to other babies and mothers in the various wards of the hospitals, admonished the nursing mothers to seize the opportunity of exclusive breastfeeding to bond with their babies. Maintaining that bonding was crucial in family relationships.
