IFO LG CHAIRMAN WELCOMES FIRST BABY OF THE YEAR WITH GIFTS AND SUPPORT

In the early hours of January 1, 2025, the Ojodu Abiodun Primary Health Centre in Ifo Local Government witnessed the joyous arrival of the first baby of the year. The baby was born at 1 am to the proud parents, Mr and Mrs Adegboyega.
To celebrate this special occasion, the Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon. Idris Olalekan Kusimo and his wife, Mrs Omowunmi Shakirat Kusimo, accompanied by the health Secretary of Ifo LGHA ( Dr.Olalekan Oke) and the head of Nursing Services (Mrs O.S Balogun) paid a special visit to the health centre to congratulate the new mother and present her with gifts.
During the visit, the Chairman presented Mrs. Adegboyeja Barakat and her baby with various items, other essential supplies. The Chairman also announced that the local government would cover all delivery expenses of the mother and child, ensuring that they receive the best possible care without any financial burden.
The Chairman congratulated Mrs. Adegboyeja Barakat on the arrival of her baby, saying, “This is a momentous occasion, not just for the family, but for our entire community. We are thrilled to welcome the first baby of the year, and we are committed to supporting our citizens, especially during times of joy and celebration.
The visit was a heartwarming display of the local government’s commitment to the well-being of its citizens, particularly mothers and children. The Chairman’s gesture was widely appreciated by the family and the healthcare workers at the primary health centre.
