
Ogun First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has given succour to the family of Kabiru Jolayemi whose living condition had recently gone viral on social media to assuage their physical and economic hardship.
Mrs. Abiodun had decided to take up the medical bills of the parents and the education bills of the children residing at No. 6, Arowogesin street, Oju Sango road, Ifo area of the state as a result of the disabilities of the couple.
According to the couple, the husband became blind following a fatal accident he was involved in about two years ago which rendered him incapacitated and the wife also sustained an injury on the right hand seven years ago thereby making it almost impossible for her to work.
Mrs. Rukayat Jolayemi explained that the doctors assured them that her husband’s vision could be restored if some surgeries were carried out on him.
The First Lady who had made necessary arrangements for the surgeries to be carried out on the couples also donated cash and food items to the family promising to lift them out of their present situation.
Represented by the wife of the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Mrs. Bolanle Oluomo, Mrs. Abiodun said the education of the children was also paramount on her mind adding that she would through her office and her pet project, Ajose Foundation continue to give support to indigent and vulnerable families across the state.
