Kosofe Youth Skill Hub 1.0 Edition Launched to Empower Local Youths

The Kosofe Youth Skill Hub 1.0 Edition was officially launched yesterday at the APC Kosofe Local Government Area (LGA) meeting held at the Mende Town Hall. The initiative, spearheaded by *Hon. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, aims to empower youths within the community by equipping them with essential skills for personal and professional development.

The program, supported by the APC Kosofe LGA Youth Leader, Hon. Omokhudu Alufohai,* and representatives from all seven APC Youth Leaders across the wards, is a collaborative effort with the *National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kosofe Local Branch.* The initiative also involves Voluntary Youth Organizations (VYOs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), ensuring a wide-reaching impact.

During his address, Hon. Omokhudu Alufohai revealed that the Skill Hub offers training in 25 diverse fields, including fashion design, catering, web design, graphic design, and more. The program is structured to hold quarterly sessions, with the goal of reaching 5,000 youths aged 18-35 years within the Kosofe LGA.

Interested participants are encouraged to register by filling out forms available both online and at designated locations across all wards in Kosofe. The initiative is designed to provide youths with valuable skills, fostering economic independence and community development.

The launch of the Kosofe Youth Skill Hub 1.0 Edition marks a significant step toward youth empowerment in the region, reflecting the commitment of local leaders to invest in the future of Kosofe’s young population.
