IGBOBI COLLEGE OLD BOYS ASSOCIATION (ICOBA) HONOURS GOV ABIODUN’S AIDE WITH AWARD

The Current Commissioner for Budget and Planning in Ogun State, Mr Olaolu Olabimtan has been recognized for his immense contribution to his profession by the Alumni Association of the Igbobi College Old Boys Association, ICOBA.
Olabimtan who was amongst those nominated by his 83 set for various categories of award bagged an award for Professional Excellence during the 92nd Founders Day Anniversary celebration held at the school premises in Yaba, Lagos.
Recommendations for the awards which were done through various sets that passed through the school were also weighted against individuals’ service to the School and the Alumni Association as a whole.
According to the President of the Association, Mr. Femi Olubanwo, the honour is bestowed on individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their different endeavours, thereby serving as living examples of the values instilled in them during their time at IGBOBI College.
He urged that as their achievements were being applauded, they should not stand as individual triumphs, but also as the collective success which the Alumni Association represents and potential for even greater laurels.
In response, while receiving the Award, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan appreciated members of his set for thinking him worthy of their nomination, saying that he doesn’t take it for granted, promising to continue to do them proud as their mate as well as the school that helped in shaping the destiny which they are now recognizing.
Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan also added that he will not relent in adding his quota to the Overall development of not only the Alumni Association but also the school at large.
