Hon. Idris Kusimo Boosts Ifo LG Information Department with Modern Gadgets
In a bold move to enhance information dissemination and public communication, the Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Idris Kusimo, has officially equipped the Information Department with state-of-the-art gadgets. The newly acquired equipments include two high-definition Cameras with complete accessories and a modern Public Address System, aimed at improving media coverage, documentation, and community engagement.
The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to leveraging technology for effective governance and ensuring that residents are well-informed about government activities. The Cameras will facilitate high-quality visual documentation of events, projects, and programmes, while the Public Address System will enhance communication during public gatherings, town hall meetings, and sensitization campaigns.
During the handover ceremony to the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Fatai Ogundele on Monday 24th March, 2025, Hon. Kusimo emphasized the importance of a well-equipped Information Department in fostering transparency and accountability. “A robust information unit is critical in keeping our people informed and engaged. These gadgets will not only improve our media operations, but also ensure that government activities are properly documented and publicized for accountability,” he stated.
The Chairman further reiterated his administration’s dedication to modernizing the local government operations and improving service delivery across Ifo LGA. He urged the Information Department to utilize the equipment effectively in discharging their duties.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Fatai Ogundele on behalf of the Staff members of the department lauded the move, describing it as rare but a step in the right direction. He promised that the gadgets will be utilised appropriately.
