Governor’s Liaison Officers Laud Abiodun Over Road Commissioning, Security Initiatives
The Ogun State Council of Governor’s Liaison Officers (GLO) has commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for the successful construction and commissioning of the Gao Junction–Ibiade Road in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area, describing the project as a significant milestone in the administration’s drive to improve infrastructure and stimulate economic development across the state.
In a statement signed by the State Chairman of the Council, Hon. (Otunba) Tola Olutayo, the liaison officers expressed profound appreciation to the governor for what they described as his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Ogun State.
According to the council, the completion of the Gao Junction–Ibiade Road has greatly improved transportation within the riverine communities, facilitated the movement of people and goods, enhanced commercial activities, and created new opportunities for economic growth in Ogun Waterside and adjoining areas.
The group noted that the road project stands as a testament to Governor Abiodun’s people-oriented leadership and determination to uplift the living standards of residents, particularly those in previously underserved communities.
The liaison officers also praised the administration for various developmental projects executed across the state, including road rehabilitation, community development programmes, economic empowerment initiatives, and social intervention schemes aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.
On security, the council commended the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, for initiating the joint Ogun-Lagos security operation, Operation Kosaye, which they described as a proactive measure against kidnapping and other criminal activities in the two neighbouring states.
The group acknowledged the governor’s support for the establishment of the Kosaye Security Outfit, noting that the initiative has strengthened surveillance, intelligence gathering, community policing, and rapid response mechanisms against criminal activities.
According to the statement, the security outfit has boosted public confidence and enhanced the protection of lives and property across Ogun and Lagos States, thereby creating a safer environment for residents and investors.
The council emphasized that security remains a critical foundation for peace, development, and economic prosperity, adding that Governor Abiodun’s efforts in strengthening the state’s security architecture would continue to yield positive results for communities across Ogun State.
The liaison officers further described Governor Abiodun’s leadership as exemplary, noting that his dedication to public service has inspired hope and confidence among the people.
They prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and good health for the governor as he continues to steer the affairs of Ogun State toward greater progress and development.
