The Chairman, Transition Committee, Odeda Local Government, Hon Semiu Bola Lawal has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah across the local government area and around the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The Council boss, in his sallah message, called on the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the good virtues of personal sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, in Eld-El-Kabir Sallah celebration. He charged everyone on the need to remain each other’s keeper which is the panacea for a peaceful Nigeria. Hon. Lawal said Eid-El-Kabir is a time for forgiveness, sober reflection and sacrifice which should also be dedicated to prayers for love and peace to thrive throughout the nation.
The Council boss further encouraged the Muslim Ummah to eschew violence and celebrate in moderation. He congratulated them on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration and prayed that Almighty Allah will grant all their heart desires and preserve their lives to witness many more celebrations in the land of the living.
He, however, encouraged all residents of the Council area who have the permanent Voter’s card to troop out enmasse to vote for the candidate of their choice in the forthcoming local government election holding on Saturday 24th July, 2021. He also charged them to shun any act that could jeopardise the smooth conduct of the election.
